App privacy policy

Who these apps are for

These apps are private companions to systems we run ourselves, such as a home dashboard. They work only on phones that the system's owner has enrolled, and they are not meant for the general public.

What the apps collect

• A device identity. When you enroll a phone, the app creates a key that never leaves the phone's secure hardware and receives a certificate and token for that phone. The server records the device name you give it, when it was enrolled and when it was last seen.
• An activity log. Each action you take (for example, turning off the lights) is logged with the device, the time and the network address it came from, so the owner can review it and spot misuse.
• The camera, only to scan the enrollment code. Images are not saved or sent anywhere.
• Notifications. If you allow them, alerts come from a notification server we run ourselves.

The apps do not collect your location, contacts, photos, messages or advertising ID, and they contain no ads, analytics or third-party tracking code.

Where the data goes

Everything the apps send goes to servers operated by Graphics By Davin, LLC for the system you enrolled in. Nothing is sold, rented or shared with third parties, except where the law requires it. All traffic is encrypted in transit.

What stays on the phone

Only the device key and the latest values shown in widgets. Uninstalling the app removes them. If a phone is lost, its owner can revoke it from another device, and the app erases its keys and stored values the next time it connects.

How long we keep it

Device records are kept while the device is enrolled and deleted within 30 days of revocation. Activity logs are kept for up to one year.

Your choices

You can revoke a device or ask for its records to be deleted at any time by emailing apps@graphicsbydavin.com.

Children

These apps are not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
